This is for any and all computery techie people out there...

Does anyone know how to track where an email originated? Like an IP address or something? Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Look for an option in your mail program to "View all headers". There will be a series of headers labeled "Received:" which trace the path of the e-mail from your ISP back to the point of origin. Some spam will have forged Received headers after the origination point, but they're pretty easy to spot, since they don't connect to the Received header above them.

Once you have the origin IP (which will be in brackets -- don't trust the host names, as they are often provided by the email client and not accurate), you can look up the info on the owner of that ip by using a tool like http://www.dnsstuff.com/

Feel free to ping me if you need more help!
